2007

Foundation of LASER on demand GmbH. Initial investigations and mobile demonstration of laser decontamination for the decommissioning of nuclear power plants.

2008

First business premises in Burgwedel, construction of a rental laser pool. Construction of a hand laser system for pulsed welding, mobile laser inserts with various beam sources for the dismantling, the production and repair of large components, process developments for laser welding. First sales employee, sale of the first used laser (TRUMPF HL 204 P).

2009

Construction of the first special container for the weather-independent transport of high-power lasers, mobile applications at institutes and in mechanical and plant engineering. Start of the research project PROSYS-LASER for the development of active laser protection systems and personal protective equipment.

2010

Endurance test for the laser container during winter use in a decommissioned nuclear power plant (-15°C), procurement of the second laser container, mobile welding of the first large-scale molds for aircraft construction.

2011

Relocation to new premises in Langenhagen-Kaltenweide, procurement of a high-power laser-line diode laser type LDF 5000-40, mobile operations with customers of the mechanical engineering, shipbuilding and aircraft construction, sale of the tenth used laser.

2012

Procurement of a mobile large-area robot with >4m processing length and a pulsed Nd: YAG laser with 300W for manual welding. Welding of a ship's rudder, stationary and mobile work for laser welding and laser cladding. Successful field tests of active laser safety curtains, new research project CO-COMPACT for cutting CFRP. Hiring a welder and an engineer, selling various used lasers from Rofin and NWL.

2013

Procurement and installation of a 3D laser cutting cell for the processing of wood and plastic, procurement of a fiber laser Rofin FL020, a disc laser TRUMPF TruMicro 7050 and a laser micro-jet plant Synova type LMJ. Various orders for welding aluminum alloys, i.a. from racing. Sale of the 40 used laser.

2014

New internal record: 450m weld seam length in one component. Hiring of a laser service technician, expansion of the operating rooms by storage area and a demonstration room for used systems, expansion of the used laser range. New research project on laser decontamination.

2015

Start of the sales and service partnership with TeKoL GmbH, joint presentations at the TeKoL Technology Days and the trade fair BlechExpo.

2016

Installation of a robot-based complete system for laser powder build-up welding at a customer in Tallinn/Estonia. New demonstration plant: CNC-controlled 6-axis robot from ibs automation GmbH. New F&E projects for lightweight shipbuilding and mobile disarming of bomb duds.

2017

By moving to our new premises in Burgdorf our office and hall space will be tripled. Installation of the first complete CNC robot system for laser powder build-up welding. LASER on demand celebrates its 10th anniversary.

2018

Installation of a complete CNC robot system for laser powder build-up welding with 8 interpolating axes for machining complex components. Delivery of two further customer-specific complete systems. New F&E projects for laser trepanning of CFRP and selective weed control.
